Access Board and the ADA

The US Access Board develops the ADA Accessibility Guidelines or ADDAG and is an excellent reference to use when you need help answering specific question around ADA complaint signage.

There are many questions that arise in the design, planning and installation of signage and the Access Board can give the correct answer and give it to you quickly.  Getting your information direct from the source can help clarify issues where information from different parties is contradicting and allows you to know what the correct codes are that you need to follow.

Visit the Access Board at www.access-board.gov.  You will also be able to find which set of guidelines each state is following as several state are still following the original ADA guideline while other have adopted the 2004 ADDAG.
